Macy's carelessly tosses personal information in trash.
Monday, February 22, 2010 at 12:23PM This story comes out of St. Louis, MO by TV station KTVI-FOX2. The story reports that back in the fall of 2009 a reporter working for the Missouri Lawyers Weekly found papers containing credit card numbers in the open trash dumpsters outside of Macy's department store. In response Macy's started using trash dumpsters with lids.
Fast forward to February 2010 and the same reporter found more papers containing personal information outside of the same Macy's department store. Macy's response was that it appeared a homeless person dug into the trash in order to create a bed out of those papers.
