This story arises from the 2009 New York Yankees "ticker-tape" parade following their Baseball World Series Championship. It seems that some New York City office workers starting tossing files and documents out the window when they couldn't get ahold of confetti. All sorts of personal financial documents were found in the canyons of wall street in the aftermath of the parade.
